Granite Run Mall announces 25 Days of Events & Entertainment, New store openings to create a festive Holiday Shopping Season.
MEDIA, PA (November 22 , 2011) – The improvements at Granite Run Mall in Media, PA continue to develop as the Holiday Shopping Season approaches. With Black Friday a couple of days away and Santa photos well underway at Center Court, the Madison Marquette managed property is putting the finishing touches on the operational improvements that will improve the overall shopping experience. In addition, the very exciting 25 Days of Events & Entertainment is scheduled to start on November 30 and run through December 24 with a local event or entertainment planned for the Mall’s common area each day.
The improvements underway at the Mall along with an increase in mall traffic have apparently attracted the retailers as new storefronts have opened recently inside the Mall. Since August, the Mall has welcomed the following stores and restaurants: Habitat For Humanity Restore, CNA Computer Repair, Toy Zam!, Go The Game Store, Calendar Club, Hudson Leather & Accessories, Books For Less, Dino Don’s Dinosaurium, and Aurora Café. In addition, the Mall anticipates new store openings in the near future including Sorkie’s Deli & Salad Café and Perfume Plus.
“We have heard from our customers that they appreciate the recent improvements to the Mall and we look forward to increasing the amenities offered to our shoppers during this Holiday Season and into the future,” commented Marketing Director, Aubrey Proud. “The 25 Days of Events & Entertainment should appeal to kids, teenagers, parents, and grandparents and we look forward to a festive Holiday Shopping Season!”
The Granite Run Mall is also partnering with local non-profits and organizations to assist them with their fundraising needs where possible. Cradles To Crayons will hold a Collection Drive on November 25-27 with new and gently used items for children in need being dropped off at Guest Services and on November 25 the Lima Fire Company will hold a Boot Drive inside the Mall. In December, the Mall will hold a “Week of Kindness” for December 5-9 and work in conjunction with the Media Mom’s Club and Education Resource Center to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand. The Mall will continue its tradition of offering giftwrapping services courtesy of local clubs and organizations from Dec 12-24 outside of the anchor stores.
This Friday, November 25, the shopping starts early as the Mall opens at 5AM with anchor and restaurant hours varying. From 6-10AM, 99.5WJBR’s Morning Show with Dave and Jill will broadcast live at Guest Services, and the hosts will be throwing a Pajama Party! Everyone that shows up in their pajamas will be entered into drawings for store giftcards and other special prizes to be given out from 6-10AM, plus Catey Hill from 99.5WJBR will offer face painting at Guest Services.
